People say it always rains in Vancouver, well I don't believe them !!! We have had lovely weather since the day we arrived. We stayed in the Urban Hideaway, a beautiful little guest house right in the center of the city. We decided (as the weather was sooo good !!) to walk around Stanley Park, it took us all morning and we only did a third of it but we did manage to see the totem poles and quite a lot of the sea wall. We also spent half a day on Granville Island at the market, the food was great. Next day took us on a walk through Gastown via the 'Steam Clock' quite bizarre and the only one in the world, to the Police Museum, Jo couldn't wait, this was the highlight of her week. It was in the rough end of town in the old morgue. There were exhibits containing weapons, drugs, counterfeit money, unsolved crimes and the lab where they did autopsies - apparently David Niven was cut up here.
So much for planning ahead, as soon as Jo found out is was still possible to go skiing she proceeded to purchase all the kit and book us in a chalet in Whistler for the week. My credit card can't take it anymore ..............
