Hello, Sunday was another relaxing day, we played quite a bit of table tennis which Steph won the afternoon session winning 2-1 in games but if you add the days total together it would be something like 100-2 (well around there anyway lol). Yesterday we woke up early - yes thats right 8.30am not 11.30am! We managed to get our free pancakes aswell yay. We left for the Niagara falls at 11.15am on a very small cramped hot old bus. It was only 30 degrees so it was bearable lol. First stop was the winery. We were really upset because we was told it was $1 each to try white, red and ice wine. But it was an extra $4 tol try the ice wine - so we passed on that seeing as we have no money left! We did learn how to sample a nice fruity white wine and a not so nice red wine! The next stop was at Brocks Monument and another at the whirlpools at the falls. They are created by the river turning 90 degrees - the only river in the world to do so! Once we arrived at the falls we had free time to look around. We were surprised because the falls are right next to a tacky town and a main road. We thought they would be in the middle of nowhere. We then went on the maid of the mist. They gave us nice blue poncho's to wear and the boat took us as close as possible to the bottom of the falls. We got soaked - Steph more than me because I hid behind her lol. We had free time after this, so we was going to walk to America - just across a bridge but it cost 50cents each to leave Canada so we opted not to. We sat by a water fountain and then on the grass opposite the falls until the lights came on them. We were pretty disappointed as they are just huge spotlights that change colour occassionally! We then got back on the bus so we could return to Toronto. We had a really good time at the falls though, well worth seeing! Today is our last day on our trip which is really exciting because we get to see our family and you lot! We will put pictures of the falls up when we return to Lincoln and another journal entry.
