Monday morning was the start to our Oz trip. We was supposed to meet outside our hotel at 7.15, but at 7.35 a man was knocking at our hotel room door saying that our group was waiting for us! We had slept through the alarm and had 5 mins to get ready lol. Got onto the bus and went to Litchfield National Park. Here we swam in a waterfall and did a bush walk, which was interesting. In the afternoon we travelled to Kakadu National Park. We checked into our accomodation and found out that they aren't mixed dorms so we are not stopping together for the whole tour, which is gay. We asked to upgrade to a twin but it is about 300 quid each!!!! So we decided against that lol. Had a ok meal at night but Steven managed to eat 3 slices of chocolate cake! Got up nice and early and had a good breakfast of coco pops and scrambled eggs on toast! Went on the Yellow water cruise and because the water levels were high, we didn't see any crocodiles :( but we saw lots of birds yay, didn't realise it was a bird watching trip, I was falling asleep on it. After this exciting trip we went to an Aboriginal Centre and then for lunch. After lunch we went on a couple of walks. The first one was to Nouralangie and saw alot of cool Aboriginal Art on the caves which has been there for 20,000 years+ The second was to a look out over all of the park. We had our first encounter with a Kangaroo, unfortunately it was the starter for our tea, we ate this with cheese and it was gorgeous (we did see a wallaroo on the walks) Main was fish, and dessert was lemon cheesecake! Played some games, Steven won Bang Bang and our team lost heads or tails! This morning I found out that I had been eaten alive in the night by the bloody mosquitoes (i hate them with a passion). Went to two museums today, the first was boring. The second was fun, had lots of games for us to play! After lunch we went to the Croc Farm and saw them being fed which was cool. We have come back to Darwin to drop a couple of people off from the tour. Off out for a meal with the group tonight, not a free one at the vic though :( Tomorrow we are travelling to Katherine and we are doing another cruise through the gorge to a waterfall, Steven hopes he can see a lot more birds lol.
