After an 8 start we met with our group. In stepped the Austrian Marios. He looked nice enough but when he introduced himself, we had to stop ourselves from bursting out laughing! He is the CAMPEST person in the world lol. Joking aside he is really nice but Im not sharing a room with him lol! Had a long day of travelling, starting with a 3 hour train ride, then a 5 hour car journey to our resort! We had a scary experience when we stopped for resfreshments halfway through the car journey. We stopped in a little town that had NEVER seen white people before, apart from on the telly. Everyone was staring at us, even when we got back in the car, they would come and stand at the windows! The room is really nice, we watched a bit of Mary-Kate and Ashley before tea lol. While having tea we found out what we can do in the next few days! Today after a shoddy breakfast we went for a jungle walk. It started off through the streets where monkeys came up to you and expected you to feed them, which we did! You held the food out in your hands and they would take it from you gently. We then went through a cave and saw some porcupines which we fed aswell. The cave had LOADS of bats inside which was cool, because we only had torches and didn't see them until we were underneath them! We walked further through the jungle and the guide 'fished' out a scorpion by using chicken on a string! The biggest mistake of the day was Steven saying yes when the guide asked if anyone was a scorpio. He picked it up and made Steven open his mouth while he pretended to put it in. Worse of all, he then put it on Steven's top and walked away! We stopped off at a beach, but unfortunately it was a high tide, so no white sands today. But Steph had a paddle and got soaked because the waves were quite big lol. We had dinner at the hotel then had a swim in the pool there. Off for seafood tonight with the group, which will be interesting! We are going to buy some snacks now, for after the meal when we don't eat any of it lol! Love Steven and Steph x x
