Day 77-81
Well Siem Reap has completely changed our view of Cambodia... We have absolutely LOVED it here!!! Our hotel has been amazing to! (Practically a palace fit for a princess - aka me! Haha)!
The atmosphere here is really chilled out but buzzing at the same time so there's always a bar open and something to do! The main strip of bars here is called 'pub street' and it's full of really nice bars and restaurants with 50 cent beers! That's kept jake happy although I wasn't impressed with the price of a Coke Zero... $2 dollar each!!! We have spent a lot of our time here just sat in bars people watching! On Tuesday we went to visit the temples (Angkor wat being the biggest one) which was amazing! It was $15 dollars to hire a tuk tuk and a driver for the day which was cheap considering he drove us round everywhere and waited outside for us to visit each temple! Although we weren't really interested in all the history the temples we're still amazing! And the monks inside we're praying and dancing round in ceremonies (we couldn't take pictures of them though as we weren't allowed - and didn't want to risk getting thrown in a Cambodian jail!).
We are getting abit fed up of hearing 'tuk tuk sir' 'tuk tuk lady' 'massage for you lady good price good price' (in a Cambodian accent) haha! Jake got some Oreo and Nutella ice cream rolls tonight which were amazing and so tasty! It was cool to watch them be made to! I'll post pics! There are a few wild cats and kittens here which puts me on edge 24/7!!!
Tomorrow we travel to Bangkok (this takes 8 and a half hours on a coach) and we have to cross the border via land (stressful) but we already have our visas sorted so it shouldn't be to stressful more boring!! We are then in a hostel (last ever hostel) just for one night as we leave for Hua Hin on Saturday morning where we are staying over Christmas (this is another 2 hours by coach from Bangkok). Once we arrive there on Saturday our Christmas will begin!! Although trying to find the right bus from bangkoks bus terminal may be stressful! Haha
Other than that not much else to report really - we have had a pool day today and tonight I need to sort out my bag ready for tomorrow as we need to leave the hotel at 6:15am! I'll probably only write again before we leave Hua Hin after Christmas or maybe on Christmas Day!!
Christmas isn't the same with not being at home but trying to embrace it as I won't be doing it again! Dying to get to Hua Hin so I can watch Elf and love actually (My fave Christmas films!) and try and get into the Christmas spirit!
Missing you all loads!
Speak on Christmas Day! Lots of love xx
