Glaciers, yet more hardcore driving and the race back to Auckland. Plus our sad parting with Nezmo the big orange spaceship!!! after another morning driving solidly we took a little pit stop at the Franz Josef Glacier which was total awesome walked as close as we could to it and was pretty amazed by the size - felt very Lord of the Rings set-esque almost as though it wasnt really there!!! after the walk we had a yummylicous lunch or noodles mmmmm tasty and powered on towards Picton to catch our ferry back to Wellington the nxt morning. We just about made it with the aid of a five thirty am start for the 7 o'clock ferry - needless to say i think we all went staright back to sleep before the ferry had even left Picton!!! the massive sprint back to Auckland didnt let up and we got pretty much straight back on the road up to Rotorua with the hope of making it in time to take in a traditional maori feast and concert - we didn't. But instead we settled for a traditional.. pub dinner - yay food that isnt pasta based!!!!!! I'd almost forgotten what meat tasted like!!!! So it was that we spent our last night squished into the back of our little orange people carrier, cold, cramped and uncomfy and we made our lesiurely way back up to Auckland on Friday and finally bade farewell to our home on wheels! THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!!!!! lol i have never been so glad to check into a hostel before!!! lol! so that finally brings y'all up to date, just spent the last few days here in Auckland chilling out and counting the hours till we get back to the sunshine and land in Fiji!! peace out y'all! xxxx p.s. hey nana!!! love you!!!
