why oh why was i ever allowed a passport????
hey all this is attempt number two to write this journal cos after writing a huge essay on everything we've been doin the iternet in our hotel decided to die before it had been saved - i swear all modern technology hates me!
ok so where to start ?
when we got to dehli last week we were completely clueless and a bit overwhelmed - just goes to show that it might be a good idea to do some preparation before you set out but hey! when did i ever do things like that?
so instead of moping around for six days we decided to do the golden triangle tour - although we didnt really slum it, we had our own driver and actually stayed in some rather swanky places - but it was fairly cheap and i'm so gald we did it!
first we went to jaipur also known as the pink city which was beautiful took way too many photos as i'm sure will be a bit of a theme for this trip! i have already filled my biggest memory card! our driver sunil turned out to be pretty good comedy value telling us that we should be in baywatch and that titanic is the best film ever made! (me think he a little lala!)
then after jaipur we headed to agra - saw the taj mahal at sunset which was amazing! our tour guide was a bit mean which ruined it an iccle bit but hey ho! again way too many photos! met a really nice american in our hotel and just chilled out drinking cheap beer and nasty whisky - yukky!
after agra we headed back to dehli which was way better this time round as we had at least the tiniest clue what the hell was going on! climb to the top of a minaret in a mosque which was amazin! the view was totally breath-taking! then did all the othe must see monuments which were interesting, but the best bit for me was taking a rickshaw through the market and going to this tiny Jainist temple hidden away in the middle of the market it was astounding!
so that brings an end to our indian adventure and now we're off to singapore! yay!
love and hugs
stef and luce
(p.s pls write on our message board so that we don't look like friendless losers!)
