Rome is very, very busy. Rachel and I took a sight seeing bus today around the city. It covered most of the areas, such as the Roman forum (see photo). There are ruins randomly situated around the whole city, though. It is really fascinating. It is an interesting contrast because right next to a Roman wall that is decaying is a pizzeria built in 1900. Arrived in Rome tonight and checked into our hostel that is only a few minutes from the train station. The girls and I went out for a real Italian dinner. Hopefully going to see the Colisseum tomorrow and the Vatican the day after.

We have all had enough of the trains. We ended up getting into Barcelona around 11:30 on the night of the 8th and were completely exhausted. We had to be at the train station at 6:45 the next morning, so we finished off celebrating Rachels birthday with chocolate cake and really good sandwiches in our way- below- par room. Pamplona is crazy. The San Fermin festival, aka Running with the Bulls is held every year here. At 8am, anyone sober enough to run lines up in the streets and runs along side (well... gets passed by) 7 bulls (I think it's 7...). And then every night.... the entire city comes out to party. We took a really long train ride to Barcelona on the 5th and stayed there a grand total of 8 hours until we took a 7 am train to Pamplona, which is in north western Spain...
