It was nice to be going somewhere different, six nights seemed to be a long time when there isn't anything stimulating to do. Checked out and suppose to be on the ferry at 2.45pm. But as we are in Greece and they are on Greek time, ish time, they were late buy 2hrs. The good thing ways I caught up with Helen and Spud again and said our final farewells. Arrive late to Paros, only to wait even longer to get our transfer to the campsite. Arrived at Camping Naoussa to be slight worried when everyone else had their own tent and we did not. But found out they rented tents and we got cozy in our very cheap accommodation.

Our first day on Paros we went on a boat cruse with the busabout people. A good 45 Euro spent. Our day was filled with swimming in crystal clear water, cliff jumping off 10m rocks, and eating delicious Greek salads, tarziki, BBA octopus and meat skewers. Not to forget the red and white wine witch we mixed with coke to make calamoochos. Fabulous day on the boat and to top it off watched the sunset on the beach. The drinks still flowed yet we called it a night and crawled into our dusty tent.

Not the best sleep but what can you expect on lylos. Other than the sleep it was a rough start to the day, its about the time where Elyse and myself had spent too much time in each other pockets and needed to do our own thing. Said a few words to each other and decided to do our own thing. So I walked into Naossa town to get some space and investigated renting a scooter. Ended up getting one for 20Euro and so we had a nice afternoon scooting from beach to beach. It was a stinking hot day so there we many stops. Driving was fun, i did the driving on the main roads while Elyse did the minor ones, i was still holding on for dear life as she nearly rode us unto a wall. The scenery reminded me of Rottnest island, the half height walls, and the limestone rock which rolled into the clear water. As we were scootering around without the aid of a map, we found ourselves in a deserted area with need off a fuel station, freaking out we finally found a local and they pointed use the direction. We made it of course but the thought of not making it wasn't so fun. By the end of the day it was so windy my helmet was being ripped off so I rode with Elyse, arms around me holding my helmet on as she ducked behind me. Would have been great to get a photo but earlier that day we discovered that Elyse camera decided not to work, we found out its a technical problem which 'just happens', once again we were without a camera, we weren't having too much luck.

We still had the scooter until 12 and half a tank, so in effort to use it all we set off again. More beaches, more swimming and more driving random places. We brought a summer dress, but it was a headache getting it. The Asian, Greek lady told us that we had tried too many dresses on and that normally you are not allowed to. I'm sorry but whats a clothing store that you cannot try the clothes on. We weren't able to use all the fuel but costing 5euro to fill the tank i wasn't worried. It was great having the scooter, it gave us freedom and a better experience of the island. Also it helped with the mundane talks of food shopping.

Packed up camp, dust was everywhere, clothes, bag and many more exciting places. We attempted to get on the mini bus transfer into port but it was chockers. All the luggage was on the top roof rack and there was about 20 people sandwiched in the van. I was amased that the van moved let along made it back for the second trip.
