Sara:
I enjoyed looking at all your pictures from Stockholm. In every picture you look like your freezing. Probably not a place for me. Gerrit has been sick with mono but is starting to feel better. Your mom and I went out shopping on Saturday to pick out paint and appliances to re-do the kitchen.

hey! great pictures of stockholm! although, i couldn't tell which is what because there's no caption unlike the rest of your pictures from your photo album. there's one picture you took of a guy with a white horse, around what century was it trying to portray? it looked like around the time of napoleon (not dynamite though lol). so howcome you couldn't get any closer with the guard? i think you'd find british guards more fascinating (you could get closer to them too!), not that i'm saying the guards you saw weren't. ok, welp, great pictures though! very historical!

Hi Sweetcakes!
awesome pictures! The castle looks just like the city hall in Minneapolis. Check on-line and see for yourself. It sure looks like you kids drink alot of water! I hope you are having fun there with all the snow. It has been very cold here for over a week, but we have no snow. God Bless.
Mom
hi, it is still cold here... some snow yesterday, enough to cause traffic problems and to shovel...have a fun weekend in stockholm... check out the sweaters so we can get one when we come... love you.

hey sara! i can imagine that your settled in now and getting into a routine with school work, living on your own and meeting new people. i hope everything has gone well so far. have you met any australian people yet? they are by far the craziest and most fun to hang out with. your pictures are really nice. just dont follow in mine or erik's footsteps and lose your camera. keep it close by all the time. how is the public transportation in vaxjo? i heard you might be going to the motherland, Russia? i am interested to hear about st. petersburg and moscow if you end up going. anyhow its 12.30 here so i need to crash. if you come across any swedish supoermodels feel free to bring her back to the US of A! Have fun!

hey there. so how did your ancestors get to America? would you be visiting your distant relatives by yourself or with your 'rents? how are the classes? any harder than what you're used to? that dinner must've been some fiest! what sort of desserts did you have? so people work out bare footed or only with their socks on? that must have been a shock to you hehe...isn't it great how you find cultures so different from yours, yet customizing if you allow yourself to parttake in it? welp, you're probably awake still watching a movie or something but have a good night!
ps. be careful with your new knives and stop playing with your candles! :D

Hey chica! You seem to be having a whole lot of fun there, meeting so many people around the world and such! Your accommodation looks pretty neat! It's small but worth it than nothing. When are you updating your journals and pictures??? Have a great weekday!

Mornin Sara..It's freezing cold winter just had to arrive. You must be really busy no additions to your journal. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. Would give anything for your Swedish desk. Love all those straight lines.Forget the small b'room just be thankful for running water and electricity. We've taken to the mall for walking best that I be on my way or else it will be noon. Grandpa Jack is always telling "go on the web" and see what Sara has written?I've tried to teach him but ---thats a long story..Waiting to here about the trip to the big city? Love ya bunch,Grannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnna & Gp Jack

Hi Sara!
It's been so much fun to check your website and look at your pictures. It reminds me of Northern Minnesota!! Could that be why so many Scandinavians settled here?
Have a great experience and try not to study too hard. Remember, there is a whole world out there to explore.
Love,
Diane

Hi Sara,
I love the accomodations! The pink, sheer curtains and the coordinated bed cover really look mod. Yes, the bathroom looks very small. My favorite though is the Carlson family kid pictures hanging over your desk. Sparce, but all you need.
Sounds like food shopping is quite the experience. Who knows what you are eating? They eat horse over there you know...the salami...if it is really dark, it's probably horse:) Actually, it is quite good.
Love the journal and the pics. Stig and Dave say "Hi".
Camille
when did he see you?!! how's the freezing city you're at??? any more pictures?? love ya!
