Cold, windy, rainy. Three words that PERFECTLY describe Copenhagen when we were there! (The exception is of course the last day- when it was sunny and warmer!) When we arrived Sunday night we played Cribbage in the hotel lobby and planned what we wanted to do the following day. Hoping things would be open- we were told that Copenhagen celebrates Easter and the surrounding days more than Sweden so we were scared nothing would be open! Instead, no shops were open, only musuems were open. That was fine though. If my mom did any more shopping she would need another bag of luggage for all her souvenirs!
It was a crummy day though. Rainy and cold. We just wanted to be insdie and drink coffee! The day went by slow for me though because we just kept walking and walking and sight seeing instead of actually going into the museums. The ones we wanted to see were closed- what a shocker... sense the sarcasm, please. So we saw the typical changing of the guards, nyhaven, and the round tower (my dad is still bitter he didn't get to see that), and we went on a canal tour! That was a fun time I think- I enjoyed it and I think Mom and Dad did too. We were so exhausted after walking the whole day we actually went back to the hotel to nap before dinner!
Tonight for dinner we finally got to eat at a Mongolian Restaurant- I had been wanting to since Stockholm! It was delicious! We were recommended a cafe for coffee and dessert where Dad could smoke his cigar. We concluded our final evening abroad eating Creme Bullee with Coffee and Dad sure did enjoy his last cigar!
The following morning the sun was out and we went for a walk before we all headed for the train station. Of corse the last day is always the nicest when you have to leave! Gosh! Saying goodbye was hard on the train.... Mom cried which made me cry in return! But I will see them soon at the end of June!
THANK YOU MOM AND DAD FOR A WONDERFUL TRIP! I ENJOYED OUR TIME TOGETHER!
