Once again we had a fog delay leaving the dock. We wanted to leave at 8:00am but the river was covered with fog. Between the delay and still not adjusting to day light savings time, we really had no clue what time it is. Once the fog lifted it was a beautiful for our final section of the Tennessee River.

The last two miles of today's trip were on the Tennessee-Tombigbee waterway. This means we are about 400 miles away from Mobile Alabama, and The Gulf of Mexico. Hopefully each day will get warmer and warmer. As much because I prefer to be wearing shorts as we hope the foggy mornings stop.

Once we arrived at Aqua Harbor, we went for a bike ride. Unfortunately there really was not anywhere to ride to. There was a small development with three streets adjacent to the marina. The marina is on a very busy road that was not bike friendly.

Across the street from the marina was Chalk Creek Cabin Rentals. We went to explore it and were greeted by one of the owners. They have several vacation cabins for rent, as well as "glamping" sites available. The owners told us we could explore as much as we wanted to, and explained where everything was. We soon found out that our electric bikes were no match for the gravel roads and steep hills. As we were leaving the owners offered to let us use their 4 wheelers to explore if we wanted to. Once again the generosity of the people we have met of this trip astounds me.

Tomorrow we have almost 50 miles to travel and 3 locks to go through. We will be leaving early to head to Midway Marina.
