After spending two days in Harbor Beach we headed out for East Tawas. As much as we do not like leaving early we set the alarm for 6:30 for a 7AM departure. Once again this was because of the forecast. The morning forecast was light winds out of the west, with the winds building and shifting to out of the south in the afternoon. With the south winds would come waves coming at our stern. While not the worst conditions by leaving early it got us to East Tawas while the conditions were perfect.

While we were in East Tawas we rode our bikes to Walmart to pick up some supplies. It is funny how the excitement of the day is going to Walmart, but while traveling with limited access to grocery stores, you go where you can.

Dinner was at a local Mexican Restaurant with Kay Dee, Ginger Gale, and Steve & Jane (Sabbatical).

East Tawas was a one night stay, there was enough to there to make it a two night stay, but Fridays forecast was seas under two feet, and Saturday's forecast is four to six foot seas. We did not want to spend three nights there, and we are still trying to reach Mackinaw by Monday.

Friday's destination is Alpena MI. Once again we are leaving early, this time we want to be underway at 6AM. Alpena is 56 miles away (6 Hours) and again the forecast is for a good morning, with the winds picking up in the afternoon.
