Our trip from Hambrick Hollow to Alred's was probably the shortest run we have done so far. We are stopping at Alred's so we are very close to Nick & Ginger's (Ginger Gale) homeport. Alred's is 20 miles from Goose Pond Marina.
Alred's is a very nice and well run marina, and as a bonus they have a loaner car. The best part of the loaner car was no one else needed it. Most marina's limit the time you can have the car to, two hours. We were able to keep it the entire day.
We took advantage of having the car and visited Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge. The lodge sits atop Taylor Mountain and has a great view of the lake. It is a very popular wedding venue and there were at least three weddings in the short time we were there.
Teresa also met us in Guntersville. She stayed with us, so she could arrive by boat to celebrate Nick & Ginger crossing their wake. She has been our first boat guest since Bill and Emily joined us for the start of our loop.
Tomorrow we will be off to Goose Pond.
