Today we went to Brazil, we paid 1000 to get to the crossing, 600 to cross the river. walked 500 metres to the gates, admitted we had no passports or yellow fever certificates on us (they are in georgetown) and then came back. But not before we'd both had a quick Samba, just so we can say we've done it.
Yesterday I somehow managed to samples some local beers. The Anchorage Terrace boys will find it hilarious that here the good beer is Skol, whether it's the same as the cheap-as-chips Tesco beer I don't know, but it's Brazilian brewed and pretty tasty. Then i moved onto the Banks Premium. Fun! We walked home under the stars.
There are 26 18yearolds spread across the country from the UK, based with a Scottish Company called Project Trust from August to August, it seems long for us but they are loving it and are almost family to everyone else here. Apart from one of the girls seems a little friendly with our internet cafe man Jeremy.
Anyway, we leave tomorrow for our next Leap, back in the Savannah, where we will be joined by Joanna, a school leaver who sounds lovely and we've been double guessing about for weeks. Till next time
