After a long time on the road and in the truck we were looking forward to a week of food, music, sport & beer; and we got plenty of each. It started with TURF music festival were we saw the likes of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Of Monsters and Men, Shaky Graves, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Passenger, UB40 and St. Paul & the Broken Bones - with plenty of local beer, local bars, poutine and some random VIP backstage shenanigans. The rest of the week exploring the city provided many highlights including Kensington Market; Little Portugal; Little Italy; awesome music shops; fresh pizza and pasta; chicken kebabs; a free (boozy) art gallery; St. Lawrence markets; chicken parmy sandwich; the Distillery District; Alabama Shakes; Toronto Maple Leafs (ice hockey) and lots of lovely local beer...
Aaron's tasting notes - we sampled a lot of awesome beer (mainly in cans - watch this space) but the one we drank the most of (and did the most damage) was the super strong (at 8%) Boneshaker IPA by Amsterdam Brewing Company.
