Greetings We arrived at hotel near Surfers Paradise today where we staying for the week cause its my birthday tmrw yey! Its a v nice resort with 2 swimming pools, a golf course and the rooms r just a bit nicer than the hostel standards we're used to. Should b a nice and relaxing week - think we gonna go out for tea for my birthday tmrw and prob for valentines day the next day. We bought 4L of wine and a bottle of Bundaberg rum (some Oz rum stuff the guy in shop recommended) so that we don't have to spend loads of money at pub to get pissed! Martin is turning into an alcoholic i think - he seems to think about beer all the time and has to hav a jug of beer a day - then he's wasted - what a light-weight! Since we last wrote we've worked our way down from Cairns and we've been to Mission Beach (we stayed at this party hostel where there were loads of hippie guys wearing sarongs and they put on a stupid fire show in which they twirled batons of fire - Martin says they were a bunch of fairies - they did look kinda stupid); Magnetic Island (it just off Townsville and was ok but really quite and a bit dull); Townsville (a nice place); Airlie Beach ( this is where most folk depart on tours of the Whitsunday Islands which are supposed to b beautiful but we didn't go cause quite expensive - we would like to go back and go to the islands after we work for a while in Brisbane); Noosa (again a nice place - kind of a holiday resort place with a nice beach - Martin got some new Billabong shorts there that he's in love with and has talked about for days about how they'l go with everything - honestly he's become worse than me for thinking about and talking about clothes - hard to believe i know but true!!!!). We arrived in Brisbane on the 10th (after a 17 hr overnight bus journey from Noosa!) and stayed there a couple of nights before getting the train to hotel today. When we fin at hotel nxt Sat we going back up to Brisbane to try and find some work - Martin already has work sorted out - Petie-Ann's mum and dad have kindly said we can stay with them for a while so that'l b good. After Brisbane we've head down to Byron Bay, Sydney then mayb Melbourne. Well i think thats about all for now - i expect to recieve lots of Happy birthday messages, e-mails and txts tmrw so don't disappoint me or ther'l b trouble! ooo scary!
