Emma and Martin's Travels
Hi everyone
We just arrived in Wanaka - picked up our campervan yesterday - its no to bad - got a bit chilly during the night tho.
We stayed in christchurch our 1st night then met emma's relative Lesley and Nigel and their wee baby Milly - she very cute - and stayed with them in Hororata for a few nights. On our 2nd day there we went to Akaroa on the east coast - its a french settlement and is really picturesque.
We set of in the campervan yesterday from christchurch down to Lake Tekepo - our campsite there was right close to the lake and it looks just like the picture on the photo album screen - it was a great view to wake up to.
On our way to lake tekapo we stopped in a place called Geraldine and we saw "THE WORLD'S LARGEST WOOLY JUMPER' happy days - the whole travelling experience has been worthwhile after seeing such a sight.
Today we drove down to Mt Cook - the largest mountain in NZ - the scenery was pretty cool with all the snowy mountains and loads of areas that looked like scenery from the lord of the rings films - some bits look a bit like the highlands we think.
Tonight we off to a cinema where you can drink alcohol and sit on sofa's so should be interesting - leslie said it a cool place so will let u all know.
Tmrw we off to Queenstown possibly to do some white water rafting - maybe a bungee-jump but dunno if that gonna happen.
Cheers the noo
Martin & Emma
