Welllllllllll.....

After what can only be described as the journey from HELL, we finally made it to Bangkok. Danielle, and I quote; "I blame the Arabs entirely" pretty much sums up the reason for our delayed flight from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok. These STUPID passengers wouldn't sit down because they all wanted to be together, and instead of the cabin crew kicking them off the plane they argued for TWO HOURS in which time all the Arab officials came on board and frankly, did nothing thus delaying our arrival into Bangkok by over two hours!

On arrival in Bangkok we had some kip and then tried to navigate ourselves around the city and FAILED! On two accounts really a) it's massive and b) we don't speak Thai. Think London on speed in 34C heat with humidity that makes even the straightest hair (Laura's) poofy!

We've experienced a vast array of Thai public transport. A personal favourite is obviously the Tuk Tuks or what can be more affectionately termed "death cabs." You can fall out these things waaaaay too easily. We also took the river boat thingy to Khao San Road and bought some maxi dresses, as featured in Look magazine. We booked all our tickets and flights today too and we head to Chiang Mai tomorrow eve on a sleeper train, where we're doing a trek and seeing some pretty elephants! Whoop! In Chiang Mai we're staying at a place called Panda House, as one of Laura's favourite animals, this pleases her greatly!

Went round many temples today and enjoyed a good Budha or two. It's been kinda stressful and moist so far so we're both kinda looking forward to the north and leaving Bangcrap.
