Wednesday 19th Sept

We went to Fort Worth, hoping to experience the cowboy culture. Once we arrived, we wanted to go straight to the Stockyard. We learnt that walking there wasn't that easy, after getting lost for one hour! We gave up and walked back to the train station, for the information centre to ask for help.

Finally, we have found the bus that would take us there. We both wish that we went to the information centre inf the first place to save us time. Once we arrived to the Stockyard, we weren't expecting to see alot of cars about! It was a very quiet town. We saw a few people that dressed up as cowboys.

We were hoping to see the rodeo show but unfortunately they only do it on Fridays and Saturdays. At least, we did see the cattle herd(!) There should be a cattle herd drive at 4pm but we weren't willing to stay around for it. WE got the bus back to the station and decided to go to Botanic Garden.

Once we arrived, it was massive and we were certainly pleased that we didn't have to pay for the entrance fee as we were unable to see everything. It was very hot and humid so we decided that it was time to go back to the hostel. Unfortunately we missed the train so we had to wait for around 45mins for the next one. Daniel wasn't very happy!

Eventually when we got back to the hostel, we had to prepare for our last evening. Lisa cheered because she was keen to get out of Dallas.

We both are getting bit of tan but very slowly! We are still looking to chill out on the beach but we feel that we might be unable to do that in LA. There are too many things to look around and we are only there for 5 days!
