Monday 4th February
Our coach wasn't til 4:30pm this afternoon so we had a lie in before we checked out at 10am. As we have checked out, we put our rucksacks into the luggage store for security.
Most of the morning, we were just resting in the lounge room and catching up with our friend on MSN chat via webcam. After our long good chats, we thought it was time to leave hostel at 12pm and walked to the bus transit centre as it would be a lot cooler there than our hostel.
We were exhausted after a 400-metres walk as we had to carry more bags which we bought from here and our rucksacks were much heavier than before! Or maybe it was because we were too lazy, relaxing in Brisbane?!
As we arrived at the transit centre, Daniel waited in the sitting area and looked after all the bags while Lisa went to collect her contact lenses. She then went to the mall to have a look round and bought few things that we would need to get for ourselves. She didn't have a chance to do that yesterday so it was her turn to go today to ensure that we haven't forgotten anything.
After waiting for a hour or so for our coach to arrive, we hopped on and sat in the usual seats. We have noticed that we have always been given the same seats number on most journeys! (2A & 2B) The journey was short, about 1hr and 30mins drive. The driver was deaf aware as he put the dvd on and at the same time, he added the subtitles for us to enjoy too. Unfortunately we arrived to Surfer's Paradise before the dvd finished!
We didn't have to go too far to find our hostel as it was practically next door! It didn't feel like a hostel as it was looking more like a hotel resort! So we were pleased to have a bit of luxury for a change. Our room was lovely too, coming along with ensuite and tv!
Our hostel even came with free use of tennis court, spa, sauna and steam room! Once we dumped our bags into our room, we searched for the supermarket as usual and after browsing around in the town, we found a hidden mall which was opposite from our hostel. There it was, a supermarket inside! We were pleased that we didn't have to walk too far to grab few things whenever we needed to.
On our return with purchases from the supermarket, we decided to get on with cooking dinner. We returned back to our room to watch the tv. To our disappointment, we still didn't have subtitles access on our tv. We saw Neighbours/Home and Away episodes. We still don't have a clue what was going on. Though we do know that UK are about 50 episodes behind from here.
To end our evening, we borrowed dvds. Unfortunately for us, it failed as it wouldn't work properly on our laptop. After returning it back and borrowing different one, we still couldn't watch it due to no subtitles access!! Even though it did say on the dvd! We gave up and went to bed obviously!
