The first day of the year 2008 began for us! We had a very long lie in after long and late celebrations last night. We didn't rise till about 11.15am and it was still dark in our room! We thought to take it easy today, to catch up on our blog.

We skipped breakfast and had dinner instead. It was almost like english breakfast. The only missing things were fried eggs and bacon! Daniel popped out to get the newspaper to see if there was anything about last night. There was only a couple pages but nothing much to report which was quite dissapointing. However we kept it as a souvneir. We then caught up on the internet and attempted to update our diary and photos. It was unsuccessful due to the technical difficulities on the website.

As we got up late, the day was really short for us. We borrowed a dvd from the reception but unfortunately we couldn't watch it as the dvd player on our laptop wouldn't work. So we are unsure it was to do with the dvd, or the laptop is having problems. We will have to wait till tomorrow to find out by borrowing another dvd. We are hoping that its the dvd as we have been borrowing dvds from them and had no problems. So finger crossed that its not a serious problem for us!

Eventually, we sorted few things out online that we have been forgetting to do such as booking the hostel for Cairns. It took a while as we couldn't decide which hostel to go for and finally managed to find a decent one. And then attempted to see if we could finish updating our blog which was successful... finally!! So we hope you all enjoyed reading what we have been up to over our xmas break!

Tomorrow is going to be our last day in Collaroy so we are planning to spend it on the beach. Daniel is hoping to fight with the waves again.
