(Alex) 8am In queenstown at the moment and realised the town doesn't open up till midday, so a blog to recap the last few days should burn some time. After a zombie-like 30 hours between leaving perth until arricing in christchurch, broken up by a twelve hour stop over in sydney and finding 30min naps where we could (parks, airports, libraries) running off no sleep from the weekend before, we certainly struggled through our flying leg of the trip.

(Shenae) After a slight delay in the flight to Christchurch, we finally arrived, 2am in the morning. We were sitting, waiting, wishing for time to fly, and it did. A little too far... An hour late to pick up our van and we were on our way!!
Our first stay was beautiful, I'm ready to quit my job and move here. We made a fair bit of ground over the first couple of days and we are now in Queenstown. Alex has given me plenty of entertainment along the way, asking me what time the sheep wake up in the morning and which animal makes all of the can cans on the side of the road...

We have been lucky with the weather too, sunshine all round. That didnt stop us lounging in the hot pools though (or as Alex keeps thinking I'm saying "hot balls". This morning we are taking the skyline dongola to grab a hot chocolate and booking our glacier flight and skydive! I'm getting butterflies about that...
