We have just arrived back in Dar es Salaam after 3 days in Zanzibar which were a wonderful couple of days on an unbelievably stunning beach. To get to the other side of the harbour to catch our ferry to Zanzibar we needed to catch the local ferry (for a whole 1p). We were both a bit nervous as the crowd really makes or breaks these kind of trips....but the good news is we have joined with a really awesome bunch of people and we all get on really well. The Roof of Africa: Kilimanjaro part 1 Well, we made it, we are back from our big climb, sun burnt and happy that we have finished!! Ok, so we finally got on a flight to Kenya....hooray for BA who seem a lot more willing to fly to Kenya these days than Virgin. A late arrival meant a quick dash to the hotel with Stephen our taxi driver pointing out Nairobi's main attractions in the cover of darkness. Couple of hours sleep and there was good old Stephen waiting to take us back to the airport again at 05:30 (did he go home?). Again, cover of darkness so we are really glad to be going back to Nair...
