Hello :)
It's 8:07am and 'The Fun Bus' is on the move. We're heading for the Channel Tunnel to hopefully have a hassle free crossing.
Yesterday we drove into Dieppe to have a look around the town before heading north. We parked on a very smart little place for 'Camping Cars' where if needed you can use electric and fill up with water. Dieppe is a funny town and was very busy. With the threat of thunder storms virtually all day we managed to have a beer in the centre before lunch in the harbour. We then drove up the coast to Boulogne where we stopped on another Aire overnight with a sea view. When we arrived we decided to have a quick walk along the cliff tops and decided to head towards some WW2 bunkers in the distance. As we arrived a very strange thing happened...
I was stood on the roof of the concrete bunker with Mum and Dad a few meters away. The sky had turned dark and all of a sudden there was a lightening flash. Now, I'm not saying I was directly hit by lightening but I was definitely touched. The flash appeared right in front of my eyes and as it happened I remember feeling as though I'd just walked through a cobweb. I physically looked around for trees that a web could have been hanging between but there wasn't any. I asked Dad if he had seen anything and he said he had seen the flash around my body... It was a very strange experience and I spent the walk back brushing my face, as you would do after walking through a cobweb. Apart from the cobweb feeling and seeing the flash I'm fine, don't worry Grandma :) Back at the motorhome we enjoyed our tea and watched a bit of TV.
We have just arrived at the tunnel and I'm pleased to say there isn't an immigrant in sight. We've actually managed to get on an earlier crossing so will be back in England a little earlier :)
Thank you to all those who left me a message yesterday! I'm really pleased so many people have enjoyed reading my blog. On some of the long driving days it has been the only thing to do so thanks for keeping me going!
When we arrive back in England we're heading for Brighton for the weekend. Lucy, my sister, and Craig will catch a train to meet us there from London so it promises to be a good weekend :)
That's all for now, I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Chezza What an amazing experience Tom! I think I may be reading too much into the lightening strike, but I found it quite surreal that it happened at the end of your journey...almost like a big 'tick'!!!! Anyway, I've loved the blogs reading all about your amazing adventures and am looking forward to seeing you before the big Dubai move! Enjoy spending a few days with the family, see you soon mate xxxxxxxxx

Sue Much better spelling today Tom, well done! The lightening strike sounds very peculiar - a sign! (What of I'm not sure but definitely a sign!)
