It was the last day of school for the kids and so after work we met Leigh at the Opera house and then caught the train to the airport. The kids were very excited and Leigh and I were too - it had been a stressful 5 months with the renovation. We arrived at the airport, checked in and made our way to the Etihad lounge. As hoped Leigh and Spencer got upgraded to business class and daddy, Eleanor and Campbell were in the back of the bus (oh well) It's a long way to Abu Dhabi but the flight was uneventful - we arrived in Abu Dhabi to a roaring sunrise - it's was 33c at 6am. A couple of hours layover in Abu Dhabi and then we were off to Paris - this time we'd all been upgraded which was amazing - the kids are very lucky! We landed in Paris and caught the train into Luxembourg station and then walked to our airbnb in the Latin quarter. It's a crazy apartment (3 levels via a spiral staircase) but it has plenty of room. We were fading afar after a long day so we had dinner at a local bistro and the crashed - next day, a bike tour of Versailles!
