Saturday 3rd November Took an early morning flight from Lima to Arequipa on a low budget airline StarPeru. Arequipa is Perus 2nd largest city with a population of around 1 million. Checked into my hostel and got given the shed in the back garden! (refer to photos). Hi, Just a quickie note to say got here to Lima in one piece. Long flights via Madrid and so in the air 16 hours in 1 day. Totally knackered. Taxi from Lima Airport to Hostel which I think is about 10 miles and 40 mins was $8. The 5 min taxi at heathrow this morning was 3 times this! Still looking at the cars here no one has ever heard of an MOT! First impressions is that Lima is like a really run down Spain meets Mexico. Will get a better insight tommorrow and...
