hi everyone! its been a while since we have been on here we have been so hectic and busy, we arrived in Plett bay wednesday 5th may, the bas bus was a lot better this time no little posh school kids. the journey yo plett was only a couple of hrs past George. we stopped at Mc donalds so i was happy, our hostel is on a farm and it reminds me of my uncle jerrys farm a bit. here we have got a resident dog called Chong-along a cross between a bull mastiff, great dane and a richback!! hes lovely :) lots of cats (sorry kimber) at our hostel the starling back packers we have got a main bar whitch has a fire pit in which is really good, a free pool table and table tennis although the beer is a bit pricy and they like you to have a tab, so were careful. also on the farm there is a tv hut which has free internet. its really out of the way here which we like and we have met a few people. yesterday matthew who owns the hostel gave us a lift to Robberg national park, yet again more hiking!! we hiked to a place called the point the trail its all along the shore line and is stunning. we saw loads of seals but they stunk. the second half of the trail was all rock scrambling which i loved and so did helen, on the way back to our starting position we passed a hut right on the beach which sleeps upto 8 people, obviously only for special people though. half way back we came across a beach it was beautiful and we had it all to ourselves. on this beach they had sand dunes which were about 25m high so we struggled to climb it then rolled down it was superb!!
today we rented a car so we could get about and i did the bungy and i can honestly say it was #!#**#!#!@ amazing and the best thing i have ever done. i did not hesitate at all probably cause a girl went before me! but dont worry i got a dvd so i can show you all and i would recommend it to anyone even you mum & dad. the walk under the bridge was worse than the jump.
after that we went to the elephant sanctuary where we walked with them trunk in hand, fed them and stroked them it was great and an amazing experience. we got loads of pics but uploading photos is pretty hard out here but we will keep trying,
tommorrow we move to PE (port elizabeth) and were getting used to living out of bags :) along this garden route it is great and very safe its not like all the newspapers say. anyway we miss you all, lots of love
Ben & Helen xxxx
