Ever heard of River Cottage? Of course you have. Well it's gone down under. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstal has handed the baton to Tasmanian chef Paul West, who's set up his own farm near the historic and picturesque village of Central Tilba.
Tilba, you say? Isn't that in southern New South Wales? Why yes, I do believe it is. And oh look... as luck would have it, we're driving right past it!
Now I know what your thinking, should the girl who (completely out of character, I'd like to add) went totally 'fan girl' over Lee Mead, be allowed near anyone famous? Ever again?
Apparently not. Because even just sitting in the 100-year-old historic ABC Cheese Factory I got overly excited when we spotted the owner, who's been featured on the TV show... once. That, plus the tasters of cheese and the full-cream-milk milkshake was enough to finish me off. Apparently overdosing on lactose and then getting excited is a no no!
Anyway, once recovered, we got chatting with some friendly locals -- apparently very good friends with Digger (the dog from River Cottage, and now a star in his own right) -- who told us that Paul's farm was actually just around the corner! So off we set to go take a sneaky look -- small thrills and all :)
Then...just when you'd think things couldn't get any more fever pitched, who do we spot? Man-with-amazing-beard-from-river-cottage! A-maz-ing!
