what a wonderful city, or 'marvellous melbourne' as twas dubbed. Have been here a week and could easily just live here forever. Have done sooooo much, starting of course with the fact that I have succeeded in catching trams without getting too lost *cough*. Have been to allan's music shop where i spent way too much time catching up with my good friend mr steinway (a whole room full of them), the Fitzroy gardens, captain cook's cottage - love the alliteration - the national treasury lacking somewhat in gold, a strange catholic church with eerie amber-coloured glass, the melbourne museum, the university rather unexpectedly, Williamstown, good olde fed square, southbank, the rialto tower, the immigration centre, the national art gallery, st kilda beach, the shrine of remembrance *pause for breath*. Tis my final day tomorrow and I shall be taking it easy just going to Victoria market. You cannot come to oz without coming here, the people are friendly and there is so much of interest to do here, not just all the history, but art, music and drama. And of course you know the best bit? A lot of it is free!
Which is just as well considering how much that blooming travel clinic charged for a mingy consulatation then all me nasty pills and tablets for India. Ah me.
