Sorry for the short interval between blogs but we have to do them when we can get internet and, being back in Alice Springs, we have just that! Our original plan was to do the lap of Oz, and the Red Centre didn't figure as we just thought it too far to drive. However, having got used to the huge distances between places, and the use of roadhouses as overnight stays, the thought of seeing Karlu Karlu (Devil's Marbles), Alice Springs, Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and Watarrka (Kings Canyon) began to appeal. Well, I wrote the last blog in Katherine and guess where we are now? Yes, back in Katherine but we've seen and done so much in the Top End, as it's called, in between! Wow, After (see what I did there?!) the Horizontal Falls trip we slept for 10 hours, not surprising really! We had another 4 days to spend in Broome and we loved Broome. It was so laid back, with a beautiful beach, Cable Beach, and amazing sunsets. For some reason all the caravan parks in Broome are expensive, but some are expensive and miles away from the beach and town! We had chosen a site within walking distance of Cable Beach and it was just the best. Ever...
