The Adventures Of Slatete In Kiwiland
We stopped in Lake Tekapo for a night on the way to Queenstown. The place is absolutely stunning, Phil was completely blown away. We checked out a little church right on the waters edge, one of NZ's most photographed buildings, and dipped our toes in the lake.
Then Phil had the bright idea that we should walk up the mountain which nearly killed me. The views were pretty good at the top but was not impressed when I realised we could have driven up! When we got back down we had a soak in the hot pools and had an early night.
Up in the morning and straight back on the road. Stopped at Cromwell for lunch with some local cider and bought some cherries and humongous strawberries.
