That night I was eating my fabulous dinner of rumen noodles and was going over the days events with John and Sarah. John had taken Sarah with to be a passenger on a sailing race that he was participating in. I did not get too much for details from either about this but from the impression that I got the race did not go well and Sarah said she was done with sailing. I did not press them on the race or the day just to ask them if they got caught in the down pour that occurred around 5pm that night, they said the race was over by then and they were inside when the rain started. The rain was hard but maybe only lasted thirty five minutes or so and then it was nice again that was the first time it had rained since I have been in OZ. I was talking with Sarah about my nice running route that I had went on and she mentioned that if I like that kind of stuff I should head to a hostel not too far away called Pittwater. After her telling me about it I was sold and I decided that I would get ready to check out in the morning and check to see if that hostel had a bed for me, if yes I would be on my way. Later that night I watched the Rugby game which was the finals of something between Australia and New Zealand. Everyone was very into the game we must have had 20 people in that room watching. The strange thing is that everyone was cheering for the Kiwi's except for one older man who with cane in hand was very vocal about rooting for Australia. It was an excellent match and very entertaining to watch. Truth be told I still do not understand that game but I was having fun watching the game and everyones reactions. The second half started and it was tied up and then the Australia team took the lead. It seemed every time New Zealand got some momentum they would mess up and give the ball back to Australia killing all drives. It was looking bleak for New Zealand who has owned Australia and only lost to them like once in the past 5 years. Then with with less then a minute left the New Zealand broke through and with some nifty passing and such managed to score again to take the lead. That was my fun for the night pretty chill but I was happy with it and looking forward tomorrow.
