Woke up at 2:30am, feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world! But forced myself to take those extra few hours before facing the very, very cold city it turned out to be today...we even had snow falling for most of the day! We left Dubai a bit late and the almost 14 hour flight felt like...well, a very, very long time! We arrived quite late into New York and because we were sat in row 84(!!), we were amongst the last off the plane and therefore the end of the visitor queue for immigration. It took about 25 minutes to get through the queue and then there was customs as well! We had indicated we had food, and the guy asked what we had...well, I felt I needed to declare the 3kg of choc...

Well, we managed to get to Dubai without incident! Woo hoo!! I managed to watch Rise of the Guardians before I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer...nice movie too :) Decided on a sugar fix so went to Haagen Dazs and had chocolate milk shakes and shared a yummy cookies and cream ice cream. That should tide us over till we arrive in the US, right?!?
