Another travel day....

We woke up late...7am :) We were determined to have a pretty cruisy day today so refused to get out of bed until 9am. Met some ladies at breakfast going on a similar to cruise to ours (and were a little bit glad that they weren't on ours as a couple of them spent breakfast complaining about everything!) and then headed out to wander the streets of Quito. It is a beautiful city - not only the Old Town we saw the other night, but also parts throughout the rest of the city. I mean, it has its areas that could do with a lick of paint but overall, I've actually really liked the feel of Quito.

We managed to purchase some items from local shops and markets with our limited Spanish and their limited English. I took great pleasure in blowing the minds of some American college students by asking in English to get around them. This one kid when I asked was like 'Whoa! Where are you from?' and you should have heard his mind being blown when I said Australia. Kind of made my day actually! Haha.

We then had something to eat and headed to the airport for our flight to Lima. We had a few hours to kill and eventually found a gate with wifi access - winning! Flight to Lima was a bit rough but uneventful and we were sat in the very last row so took a while to get off the plane. Our transfer to the hotel was great and the girl gave us loads of information on the history of Peru, as well as useful things like places to avoid and which taxis to use. Now off to bed as meeting all my new friends early in the morning! Night!
