Stayed 3 nights here with Anna and Chris, after much deliberation about where to stay. Enjoyed wondering around the busy streets and investigation the numerous temples on our 4 hour walk around the city. Ate some great food, including a fantastic tradional Newari (a Nepali tribe)meal which included a delicious wild boar curry. Visited Durbar Square, the ex-royal residency and climbed up to the Monkey Temple just outside the city centre with great views.

(Note: Entry for Chitwan National Park has also been added) Back in Pokhara, after meeting back up with Chris and Anna who we had met in India and another British couple - Michael and Lauren, we decided to team up to do a 10 day trek to Muktinath via Jomsom (known as the Jomsom Trek) which follows the last half of the Annapurna Circuit. We left early to catch our bus from Pokhara to the Seti River where our rafting trip to Chitwan was to begin. Amritsar After donning our head scarfs and washing our feet we enjoyed a nice slow stroll around the water and the shimmering reflection of the 'Golden Temple' - The most sacred Sikh shrine. We arrived at the station to embark on our 25 hour train journey,and were hit with the news of a 6 hour delay. Varanasi 30 hours later we arrived at 3am.
