Verkocht - verkauft
Wandelung - Wanderung
Fiets -Fahrrad
Scheitveld - Schiessfeld
Kleine Aa - der Name eines Flusses.
Today it was a lovely, boring day with no extraordinary events. I walked from Kalmthout along fields to Wuustwezel and from there to Brecht. The name Brecht has nothing to do with our famous German writer Bertholdt Brecht. But maybe Bertholts ancestors derive from here. Talking about famous poets: I learned here that the most famous flamish author of the 19th century is a guy called Guido Gezelle. I must admit, I never heard of him before. (Does anyone of you, my dear blog readers, know anything about Gezelle?)
So tonight I camp in a small, lovely campside ("De Groene Linden") south of Brecht. I am prepared his time - cooking a meal by myself (see picture)!
While I was cooking, a new camper arrived. Emma from the Netherlands, who is walking the Belgium part of the GR5. I was fascinated by the way she was cooking her meal: fresh onions, leek, tomatos, eggs...all that she was carrying in her backpack and fried it in a pan. Amazing. I just had noodles wirh spices.
Anyway, she is nice company and we just had a nice Belgish beer together.
