Left Exmouth heading for Monkey Mia. stopped at Hamalin pools. The Stromalolites are a build up of bacteria, they first appeared on earth 2 billion years ago. The layers grow outwards like the rings of a tree, they are very fragile, they come in different shapes and sizes. Next stop was shell beach with billions of crushed shells and millions of flies. Went for a drive to the " Big Dish " Global comunication station 26.5 cm 87ft diameters reflector global comunication 1966 -- 1987 it was involved with Nasa in the Apollo space mission. Drove out to Pelican point again and the 1 mile jetty went into the museum it was very good. Went to Wollies and did some shopping home had lunch relaxed. Went fishing in the afternoon caught small bream and a grunter John caught 2 grunters a shark and a sting ray swam...

Arrived at Canarvon Coral coast Tourist Park booked in for 3 nights had a swim did some washing,, relaxed. After lunch went for a drive to the boat harbour then Pelican point and one mile jetty it was constructed in 1897 ships would bring supplies and passengers from Perth, they also exported sheep and cattle, it ceased opperation in 1984. Went to chinermans pool( not much water ) . We drove along the gascoyne food trail farms growing tomatoes,mango,grapes,banan...

Drove down to Coral Bay the water was a beautiful shade of aqua with blotches of navy blue and so clear, we decided we would go for a swim , the water was freezing Joy Juke and Ella did some snorkeling saw fish a squid and a sting ray i didnt stay in long it was so cold. We went back to the vans and made lunch then went back to the beach to eat it with a lovely ocean backdrop. Headed down the coast and stopped at Lake MacLeod Rest Area for the night.

Finally reached Exmouth after a slow trip with the wind against us. Its melbourn cup day so when i booked in i bought four horses in a sweep, once we were set up we went to the shopping centre, i bought a fly net. Friends that Joy and Luke have made Sue , Jason and Lilly are with us so we went to the Tavern to have some lunch and watch the race, Johns horse won in the sweep. Drove out to the Marina some lovely boats there. Back at the van John worked on c.v. door...
