We arrived in Brisbane absolutely shattered. Checked into our hostel, ate a steak and ended up in bed at around 8. The next morning, after 14 hours sleep, we got up put on our bikinis and headed to the lagoon for some tannage. The weather had other ideas however and it started to pour with rain again. We instead headed to an internet cafe to sort our lives ou and actually plan a little about what we intended to do when we flew to asia in 2 days! As we were happily sat typing away up pops a message from Freddie saying that they were all in Brisbane. Of course we didnt believe him at all but it turned out that the floods had caused their bus to be redirected and had been bought to Brisbane to try an inland route that evening. That meant we had another afternoon together which we all soent at the bar chatti and drinking beer. Que another emotional farewell at the bus station and we were seperated once again. The next day we spent wandering around Brisane, which we really loved ( with a little bit of extra company to make it even better) even though the weather was still really rubbish. Another early night followed ( when we realised we had done NO asia planing and were heading there the next day, what has happened to us?) and we awoke exictd but seriously scared about flying to Singapore and very sad to be leaving Australia. This was to be our second from last flight on our around the world ticket. Next one home. Rubbish. SH xx
