Sarah's Travels
Goodbye Tokyo!!
Wow, what a hectic weekend, but well worth doing! Soon after arriving I realised that I had packed way too much stuff and was tempted to throw half of it away, but here I am, ive made it all the way to Auckland with almost as much as I started with! So.....back to Tokyo, I certainly got almost as much into this weekend as possible. On my first night, after accidently falling asleep in the hotel, I headed into the Ginza district, which was exactly the stereotypical image of Tokyo. I loved it, all the neon signs, the lights, the crowded streets and high rise buildings!-Was a perfect start to the weekend! the next day I went to this park near the harbour, and was chased by this karate type man who was giving classes on the lake! I naturally ran in the opposite direction! Ive been impressed with the level of english spoken, even though it was difficult at times, namely when trying to use the trains!! Anyway, im running out of time...I went up the Tokyo tower, the view was impressive, especially as it was at night, I realised im slightly scared of heights, I went right to the top platform!! So, Ive ended my trip, hating the smell of japanese food, due to a few dodgy experiences and glad to be gone! I cant wait to experience NZ, where its nice and quiet! Oh yeah, i also couldnt get any cash out with any of my cards so nearly didnt make it to the airport, but thats a story for another day,! Take it easyxXx
