We landed safely in Christchurch and slept rough in the lounge at the airport! It was one of worst place to sleep because it was freezing and when i woke up to find there was draught from outside, there was no heater around! I slept okish! We was told that there is heater behind us and helped us to put chairs closer so we can keep ourselves warm! It was bleedy freezing night! The man asked me, what was we doing and are we waiting for flight etc. I told him, no we are going to collect our motorhome shortly, lucky he kindly helped out and phoned the company for us to be picked up to go the office.

It was snowing and freezing cold outside, we sat outside waiting for a minibus to come. We arrived at the office, got our paperwork sorted and showed what needed to be done before we can leave. The boys and i learnt how to put snowchain on then we went to the motorhome to show us around etc.

The weather was terribly freezing and snowing! Finally we left Britz office to explore Christchurch. I was so shocked to find how it affected badly by the earthquakes. All of the shops was shut and fence was put up to stop people going through the town. It wasnt safe to walk/drive through, i could see the roads and the buildings was damaged! :(

I was amazed how they cope with snow/icy condition. The roads is clear and visable! Then we started doing the food shopping, i was taking extra careful when i was driving because it started to snow again! We stopped at Waimate layby to stop overnight as we was exhausted and was ready for bed! :)
