Well it's been a while since I updated this blog but to update you all ill start from what we've been up to in Sydney. Wave been spending the last 4 weeks staying in a little beach town Coogee. When we arrived in Australia we stayed with Adys friend Ryan who was renting an apartment from a friend for a few weeks. Ryan had got himself a job in Bondi so we decided to wait for him to finish his job before we set off to travel up the East Coast of Australia. Sydney is a really nice city and so big! There are lots and lots of great beaches and lots of activities to do. We spent the first week or so getting to know Sydney and of course doing the touristy sites like the Sydney opera house and the harbour bridge. The Sydney Opera house is pretty impressive but a lot smaller than we expected it to be! The weather was also really good the first week so we got to sunbathe on Bondi beach and do some scenic walks around Sydney. We also got to get drunk at Ryan's work every Friday as they put on a free bar from 5 till 8 for staff and they can bring along 2 friends which was great for us and saved us a bit of money! Sydney has a really good zoo called Taronga zoo which you have to get a ferry across too. We spent a full day at the zoo and I still think we missed bits out it's that big! They had a seal show which was really funny then we went to see a spider talk where you get to look at all the deadly spiders in Australia and the keeper explains about all of them. We thought that we better go to that talk so that we know what were dealing with out here! Australia has more things that can kill you than anywhere else in the world! It has the world's ten most poisonous snakes, the most poisonous spiders, jellyfish, octopus, tick and stonefish that's not including the sharks and crocs that can get you too! Wave been pretty lucky so far though not to see anything too bad and not many spiders!
Ady was celebrating his 30th Birthday in October so I decided to surprise him with a night in a 4* hotel and a dinner cruise on the harbour. We spent the day at a lovely little bay which you also have to get a ferry too and had fish and chips at a world famous chip shop called Doyle's and it was one of the best fish and chips we've ever had! The hotel room was really nice and overlooked the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. We had a few drinks on the balcony then went to Darling Harbour to get on the dinner cruise boat. The trip was 2 hours or so and the food was really good and I organised a birthday cake and cocktail for Ady.
A few days later we were supposed to be doing our skydive but it was cancelled at the last minute due to poor weather conditions. We were not happy as we had to get up at 6:00 am and hire a car to get to the area were they do the skydives but it has been re scheduled for the 29th of December so fingers x it will be a nice day!
