Sinead & Pa's Travels
oops that should be the 28th, ah well. me sinead and the English lads( Tom Tom and Jason) rented a taxi for the day for 120 dollars (60 euros) and went to Sigatoka to see the sand dunes. they were s*** and you had to pay to see them. it was the hottest part of the day and the sand was so hot. luckily i had shoes but the rest of them had only puny sandals. it was funny to watch them burn on the sand and them cry like b****es. then went to a village called biasula or something and then went for a half hour trek into the rainforest to see a waterfall. it was brilliant and it was nice and cold and we could climb it and hop in(cos we were really hot from the walk and humidity 35 degrees). we had to walk through the bending river about 7 times on the way up so i was doing it all barefoot by then. as we left the falls it started lashing rain, like the heaviest rain i've ever seen, so we all had to run down the path that had turned into a mini river and through the river that was swelling more with each crossing. and i had to carry sineads rucsack in a plastic bag in my rucsack as she had her mp3 player and camera and stuff. so all i had on was my shorts running through the rainforest for a good thirty mins. then we all got to the village at the bottom the river was going so fast at 2 points that sinead nearly got washed away. but it was really good fun and it was really exciting and adventure type trip. we all got in the taxi then with our shorts(us and 3 english boys that we are friends with) and the taxi driver only had his underwear on and he was a really skinny indian fella. we wanted to go to mc donalds drive thru for a laugh but he wouldn't. and only my diary got wet a bit and all my clothes, sineads stuff was almost completely unscathed. then we got lovely dinner back at Mammas and had about 2 litres of kava which put me out for the night.
