Today we went to the maritime museum which is nothing like the one back home. First you go through an info centre and see all the salvaged stuff from the wrecks on shipwreck coast, from the 1870s. They had a rare piece of ceramic (which was a peacock) which was a metre tall found from the ship wrecks completely unbroken which was cool because it was pretty large. The second part of the museum was AWESOME! It was a real life sized olden day village with cobblestones and people dressed in olden day clothes. We got given a booklet that we had to fill out that led us to the press shop which led us to the dress makers, doctors, Bank of Australasia where we got given a slip to fill out with nib pens then a fake one pound. That lead us to the shippers, then the lighthouse then the buried treasure sandpit, a tall 3 sail ship, the Bond store, sail makers ,the light house keepers house then the war cannons then the flag post. There were a lot of other stores like the blacksmith where someone was making a poker using the bellows and the fire, he told us that they hung dead sheep above the fire so there fat could dribble on to the fire. There was also a church and schoolroom and a lot of other buildings. By the way it was like a real village they had a pig pen and sheep on a hill and a lake with the boats in it. It was really fun. I loved the doctors house where we walked through and found a cute garden with lots of herbs and a chicken pen. Mum will put on more photos of the village tonight. A great day! Finished off with mini putt putt and charades.

nanna and poppy Hey Dev, that was a great description of the Maritime Museum. Sounds very interesting. Yesterday Poppy and I did a 2nd world war tour of Nuremberg and it was eye opening sseeing all the places Hitler went to and stayed at. Nuremberg was badly bombed but has now been rebuilt in the old style. Have stopped most days at little old villages \with old churches and palaces built on top of rocks and mountains. The food on board ship is sumptuous and we are all getting fat but poppy and I went on a long bike ride which was good.
Abz hey dev hope you are having fun on your trip round australia we are all missing you heaps!!! But you're so lucky because we had needles yesterday and you get to miss out on naplan ahaha miss you love from abz :D xx
