I took the kids to the Rocks while PS went to the SCG to watch Sydney v Hawthorn. We visited the markets and the Rocks discovery Museum which you can see from the photo the kids really got into. It was very interactive and KS got really involved and learnt about the plague, DS completed the whole worksheet that the guide said was for high school kids and TS found the old junk pretty cool. We saw some amazing buskers, walked through the lovely parks and visited the living museum called Susannah's Place which are 4 terrace houses left as found after the last tenant left 1989. One shows the building as it was in the 1880's, one during the depression, set up as the corner store and one from the 1970's. We also saw an interview with many of the people who lived there. TS though the potty under the bed was hilarious. And the rest of us thought the bathrooms were disgusting. It was a brilliant day. DS thought the Rocks would be ruins, she was very wrong!
