Was given a new project, to work on the vegetable garden this morning. It was strangely therapeutic. After lunch I had to say goodbye to the guys, which I didn't think would be as hard as it was after only a week spent with them. The rest of the group came today, which made the work load lighter. We worked on the last hole/ trench and connected all of the pipes. It felt great to see the water running through all the pipes, finally, with no leaks too! To mark Halloween we had a mass game of hide and seek in the house with all the lights out. It was a right laugh- yes I know I should grow up. Going to be sad to leave tomorrow. This has soon felt like home.

Today was a really successful day. We were digging to find the main pipe. I almost lost hope, thinking we may have been digging in the wrong place and then….i saw something blue! Thank god! The hard bit wasn't over, as we had to actually dig through the road to connect the mains pipe to the nursery. Now that was tough. To make it worse it started to rain- heavily! Off back to Camp Maqui to continue the work. The work was tough again, but I really feel like we've made progress with the holes we've dug for the water pipes. I even have blisters to prove it! We went zip lining today- it was so much fun! There were 13 canopies, with the option to do superman moves (arms out in front) or the 'butterly', which involved being upside down!The views over the jungle were amazing, but it was a tad scary being so high up! Afterwards lunch was at a cute little restaurant in the town. I had the best piece of beef I've ever tasted. The food here is delicious, I've not had one bad meal.
