Our tour of LA by bus continued today by getting a bus into Downtown LA then one straight out to Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

We were there for the 2 hour studio tour starting at 1pm. Our guide drove us round several sound stages, showing us where Citizen Kane, Godfather Part I & II were filmed, plus dozens of TV shows that we'd never seen nor heard of. Decent tour, but very similar to the Warner Studio Tour we did last time.

We got back to Santa Monica to enjoy the last of the sun, but sadly not much of its warmth in the massive golden beach. After a very reasonably priced Italian meal, we caught the bus back to the hotel and caught the news of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Terrible stuff! Even though we're on the other side of the Pacific, we're on a tsunami watch with the wave expected to hit at 8-9am. Thank god we're not in Hawaii and half the Pacific closer!
