Well today is exactly 4 weeks to the day I got home!!!

I'm writing this as a post trip wrap up and a big thank you to all I met and spent time with during my incredible 6 month adventure - there are way too many people to thank individually!!!

I may have only met you for an hour, a night or some of you more - but each and everyone of you have left me with treasured memories and may have even made a bigger impact on my life & future than you will probably ever know.

So where to start ...

The LA crew! - Max you sent me off on such a high for the start of my adventure and what a fitting end to it! What an awesome 24 hours I had in the beginning in LA. It was so so good to be swilling tequila with the beautiful Nina and yourself again... I also had a blast on 4th July & all the parties leading up to it and meeting all your very cool friends. Can't wait to meet the wife & kids at your mansion next visit :0)

Santiago Couch Surfers - A big thanks to the couch surfers who met up with me and helped me allay my fears when I first arrived!

Kumuka crew - What a great bunch! Good times camping & trekking in Patagonia, it was sometimes tough with adverse conditions but with a fun group we got through it with a laugh. We definitely need a reunion - maybe in Bariloche?! James, Leigh & Megan - it was so good to spend post trip time with you all. Leigh you're inspirational and look amazing for 60 :-p James keep travelling and my prediction is you're going to meet a beautiful lady from an exotic country & settle there with her - I'll come visit! Me again! You are hilarious - let's catch up for that girly trip to Melbourne to see Leigh!!!

Punta Del Este - Rosaria contact me when you get to the Goldy! Thanks for looking after me the night we met ;-) Gunnar same for you - the way you live is also inspirational and hope you find what you're looking for in life!

Luci's Friends - You guys all rock!!! Thank you so much for being so generous & taking the time to make me welcome and show me your lives & cities. It really was a highlight of my trip (yeh yeh Andre 2 days of my 500 day trip!). Luci is so lucky to have such cool & funny friends! Go visit her soon - and come visit me on the way so I can return the favour and show you around!!!! Fi thanks for all the Brazillian men tips - I needed them!

Florionopolis Folks - This was by far the best backpacking experience of my whole trip! I loved meeting each & everyone one of you (Virginia, Bianca, Michael, Vered, Hari (Aguinaldo)). Vered I promise to come visit one day & you can introduce me to all the hot Israeli boys! Demetrios thanks for a crazy last night in Floripa and for sending me off to my first day at Carnival tired & hungover!

Cariocas & fellow Carnival Revellers - You guys all rock!!! I love Brazillians! You were all so much fun - so funny, so sweet & so cute!!! Zoe and I had THE best time partying with you all - who cares that we didn't speak the same language?! Fernando a big thanks to you for looking after me & being such a gentlemen - stay in touch!

Tucan Crew - First up a big thank you to Zoe for joining me in Brazil! I would not have had such a fantastic time there if it wasn't for your company & so glad you came! Remember we'll always have 'Lapa'!

The other Tucanos ... Wow what an adventure and we all survived 65 days of co-habitation without killing each other - what an achievement! You've all left your mark on me, especially you Mackay gals & mostly on my liver which will probably never recover!

Hernan you are an awesome tour leader! Thank you for looking after us and getting us there safely - also thanks for throwing in those extra not on the itinerary adventures like Puerto Suarez! Nothing summarises adventure travel better then when your airport transfer is you and 11 others getting to the airport by standing in the back of the airlines ute!

Definitely a transport highlight ... Closely followed by the leather seated bus in Peru - where had you been hiding those luxury buses all trip?!

Galapagos Cruisers - What a lovely bunch of people to share such a special place with! I really enjoyed all your company and wish you all the best for your travels, especially you Kelly - get out there & do it! Nicole thanks for being a great room mate and laughing at the way I say 'sharks'!

Montezuma - Time for relaxation! Chris you were a great instructor and enjoyed our drunken chats & insights into your life. I also loved all the folk I met at Lluna Llena - great place xx

La Fortuna - I was so happy to meet the lovely Kate & Sharon & have company for the hot springs & more! Kate your such an Aussie & love it! Sharon you go gal! You have me totally revising all my dating tactics!

San Juan Del Sur - I should have got all those peeps details!!! I loved meeting you anyway - the surfing, dinner, drinks & breakfast - even though there's no chance you'll read this!

Omentepe Island - Beck thanks for clue-ing me in on all the 'not to miss' attractions in Central America & a fun night at Morgan's. Once again didn't get the other crews details but you rocked! Thanks to Tess, Anton & Morgan for being such cool hosts & playing cool Aussie hip hop! I was missing home big time by then & made my night hearing it in your playlist :0)

Granada - Chris thank you for being my best tour guide ever, getting me to Granada & Managua safely and making my time there so enjoyable! You have great dreams & talent - thankyou or sharing them with me and as per my email if you ever make it to Aus ...

TicaBus San Salvador stop - It was great to meet you Vinko & Collette. Best of luck with the Eco resort & drop me a line when you make it home to Bris as would love someone to talk Latin America adventures with.

Antigua / Lake Atitlan - It was great to meet you Vikki & my photo collection is much better for your getting up early suggestion! You were a lot of fun to hang with & hopefully I'll get to England one day $ look you up. I still feel bad for leaving you when you were sick!!! It was also great to meet you Fernando & thank you so much for looking after Vikki! Loved hearing your stories - I wish you both well in life & love!

Belize to Mexico - Caroline / Tom / Benny it was great to meet you guys and thank you for letting me tag along! I was missing Aussie company & humour so meeting you guys was perfect! I hope you enjoy the rest of your travels & Benny hope your budget doesn't run out!!!

Belize - Gabbi & Matt I'm glad I bumped into you again on the way to Caye Caulker! I really enjoyed your company & thanks Gabbi for always offering it & making me feel so welcome!

Caye Caulker - Marloes & Matt, great to meet you guys & spend time with you both. I loved the day on the Ragamuffin with you & the Intrepid bunch ... Staggering off the dock after the rum punch then heading out for more drinks with you all after is a very fond memory of mine!

Tulum - Gerhard it was great to catch up with you again and thanks for making a rainy day so fun! Thank you also for providing me with THE best holiday story ever! Still brings a smile to my face as I write this!!! Leonie I was so glad to meet you & had so much fun hanging out with you! Your personality is just like my friends at home who I was missing lots!!! All the best with Lars & may have to go visit you in Europe when you get married and move there :-) otherwise it will be in Wester Australia where apparently you pay $400 to see the whale sharks instead of the $120 we were going to pay!!!

Thank you all again for such an incredible, unforgettable holiday! (And sorry if I missed anyone?!)
