We boarded the ferry for Kangaroo Island at Cape Jervis and made the 50 minute crossing to another time and place. KI has only about 4000 inhabitants but it is the third largest island in Australia. We're back from Australia! It's fair to say that we had some of the very best and the very worst times since we left the UK. We flew from Nelson to Christchurch and stayed at the airport-a family run place which exceeded all expectations! We had members of the US forces Antarctic team staying there. Happy New Year to you all. We had a wonderful time here in New Zealand with many very new and unique experiences. We had lots to eat, went to the beach a couple of times and rode the maddest sky wire you could imagine which not only flew through the air forwards at 90km/hr but then flew backwards as well. Well, we did it! It was an incredible experience from start to finish. We met Katie and Matt off their flight at Queenstown airport and it was so good to see them aagin. We then spent a happy couple of days enjoying our second visit to this amazing town. We had a meal at Fergburgers before the track, and at the end too!
