This year's trip will be a little different....

Element#1. We will be gone for a full eight, not just four, weeks.

Element #2. Stay tuned for a unique cast of colourful supporting characters, including some surprise guest stars from last season.

Element #3. This year, my body has really given me some challenges. I have had a crazily hard time with my neck and back. This throws a bit of a kink (I'm hilarious) into a lot of our planning. Follow along as I navigate more than a dozen flights, mountains, cobblestones and the heaviest backpack on earth with a terrible back.

Element #4. I am a good planner, but awful over packer. I managed to completely jam my ebag weekender backpack chock full of nearly everything I own. This will likely cause friction between the two adventurers.

I am a bit broken, so Matt is the camel and poor him, somehow I managed to pack my bag at least three times as full as last year. Plus, he's carrying his own...and his man purse. Heh heh.
Two months, four continents, seventeen countries begins today. And we're already pooped.
We've checked in for our Tokyo flight, Matt's carbo loaded and I'm off on a hunt for eggs.
